Challenges and Approach

  • QR-Based Rentals: Implementing a seamless flow where users can scan a QR code to rent kayaks, bikes, and e-bikes quickly.
  • Lock Integration: Supporting different lock mechanisms such as chain locks, Solebe locks, and Kerong locks for both unlocking and locking assets.
  • User Experience Flow: Designing a smooth, intuitive rental
    process—from scanning the QR, verifying availability, unlocking, to starting the ride—ensuring minimal steps and maximum ease.
  • Consistency Across Devices: Providing the same reliable
    experience across various devices and lock types without confusing the user.
  • Real-Time Updates: Ensuring instant feedback during the
    lock/unlock process, along with clear success/failure messages for a better user journey.

  • Research & Planning: Integration was developed to support multiple smart locks, including chain locks, Solebe, and Kerong. The app ensures secure and reliable lock/unlock operations with a smooth user flow for rentals.
  • Development & Testing: The app was built with a focus on
    performance, security, and scalability. Multiple testing phases, including functional, integration, and user experience testing, were conducted to ensure smooth rentals, lock connectivity, and reliable booking flows.
  • Deployment & Launch: Following thorough testing and optimization, the app was deployed on the Google Play Store & Apple App Store. A marketing strategy was devised to promote the app and draw in users.
